- Organized groups (e.g., schools, child care centers, parent groups, church groups, etc.) with 8 or more children are eligible for special group discounts as described below.
Groups with more than 12 children must be scheduled either Wednesday or Thursday mornings before regular museum hours. Choose either: Wednesday 9am-10am or Thursday 9am-10am
Groups with 12 or fewer children can schedule to visit us anytime during our open hours or choose Wednesday 9am-10am or Thursday 9am-10am.
FREE FIELD TRIPS: is your organization funded by Smart Start, More at Four or do you serve mostly low income families? If so you may be eligible for a free field trip visit to our museum. For more information call 919-933-1455 and ask for Tina Clossick.
General Information:
For organized groups of 8 children or more, we request that you make a reservation in advance to ensure that we have adequate space and staffing to accommodate your group.
-Organized groups without reservations are welcome, but are not eligible for group discounts and will be accommodated as space permits.
-We require 1 chaperone (aged 16 years or older) for every 4 children.
-Kidzu Children's Museum can accommodate a maximum of 30 children per group visit.
-Self-guided group visits can be scheduled at any time during museum hours, as space permits.
Group Rates (for Prescheduled Groups):
-Schools and other organized groups (e.g., child care centers, parent groups, church groups, etc.) with 8 or more children are eligible for discounted rates of $4.00 per person. We require one teacher or chaperone for every 4 children.
-A $30 non-refundable deposit is required with each reservation. This deposit will be credited toward the total admission fees due.
-Memberships are not valid with group reservations. If a member visits with a pre-registered group, he or she must pay the group rate.
-If your museum trip is cancelled due to the official closing of schools, we will make every effort to reschedule your trip for another time.
-Teachers or group leaders are responsible for confirming the number of children one week in advance of the visit.
-Please make every effort to arrive promptly for your group visit.
