Sunday, January 28: Music Sing-A-Long and Concert: UNC's Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity Brothers led kids through a song adventure with familar songs including a song from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Kids made an instrument to take home.
Tuesday, December 19: Christmas Around the World! Special guests gave kids a glimpse of how kids celebrate Christmas in Mexico, Italy and Brazil.

Tuesday, December 5: Baby Signing with Shannon Thorn. Signing Smart instructor Shannon Thorn introduced how to use American Sign Language with infants or toddlers.
Sunday, December 3: Holiday Folklore with Professional Storyteller Marj Moe. A holiday journey and explain how all our fun and silly holiday traditions started.
ALL November & December 2006: A Celebration of Many Cultures: International studies students from UNC and other community members visited Kidzu to share traditions from cultures around our community and across the globe.

Friday, July 28th: Wool E. Bull, the loveable mascot for the Durham Bulls, joined us for storytime featuring a special book about baseball and numbers.
Sunday, July 23rd: Looks and Books: A collaborative family workshop jointly hosted by the Ackland Art Museum and Kidzu Children's Museum. Children and adults explored the Ackland exhibition "Books in Costume" with experienced gallery teachers. These beautiful book covers feature playful animals and idyllic storybook scenes that make their stories leap off the pages. Participants then moved on to the studio space at Kidzu Children's Museum to work with local artists and make books to take home.
Friday, July 14th: Read-a-roo, UNC-TV's mascot for Just for Kids Programming, visited Kidzu's storytime to promote reading as a great way to learn about exciting places and interesting people.
Friday, June 16th: Chapel Hill Police Chief Gregg Jarvies read a special book to celebrate Father's Day and all of our loved ones. He also made cards with our young visitors.
Friday, May 19th: Authors and artists Pamela George and Walter Brown read from their book, The North Carolina Alphabet and hosted an art activity with our visitors. The paintings featured in their book associate each letter of the alphabet with an iconic image of North Carolina outdoor life.
Friday, March 10th: Esteemed journalist and retired UNC faculty member Chuck Stone read from his book, Squizzy the Black Squirrel.
Wednesday, March 8th: Musical guest Paul Rosenberg's Music Time-sing along favorites for the whole family.
