July Special Events:

Friday, July 11th All Day: Grand Re-Opening: FREE Admission. Come see "Kidzoom: The Power of Creativity" exhibit. Click here for our page link with information on this exciting exhibit.

Sunday, July 20th 2:00-3:00pm: Castle Building Workshop with Helen Buiskool. Ever dreamed of having your own castle? Join us for this program and make a decorated castle of your own with stand-up characters. Program will be led by Helen Buiskool, a local professional mixed media artist and teacher. Fees: $8.00 per child (ages 5-8). Space is limited and prepaid registration is required.

Tuesday, July 29th at 10:30am: Jam Around the World. Experience the fun of JamminBaby with Erica Berry. Come sing, dance, play instruments with your child and perhaps learn a trick or two to use at home while making music with your child. Program is included in Kidzu admission fee. Wednesday, July 30th 3:30-4:30pm: Kids In Kitchen Workshop. This month make "Fruit Shakes." Each month Kidzu kids can get creative in the kitchen with this delicious workshop. We'll make fun and tasty no-cook recipes and learn some basic cooking skills. Fees: $4.00 per child (ages 4-9). Space is limited and prepaid registration is required.
Ongoing Activities:

Express Yourself! Every Saturday: Children can experience the joy of making and experiencing all types of art. Express Yourself! classes will be held every Saturday 10:45-11:15am and 11:30am-12:00pm. Classes $2.00 per child (3-8 years old). Space is limited, so sign-up now. Don't miss these great projects: July 12: Rain Pictures! July 19: Two Layers Painting! July 26: Sculpture! Free Bilingual (Spanish/English) Storytime: Join us Saturday, July 12 & 26 at 2:00pm Twice a month Kidzu will host a free bilingual storytime filled with interactive and educational activities and a fun craft project. Presented in Spanish and English for children ages 2 to 8 with an adult. First-time museum visitors that attend this program will receive free admission to the museum for the rest of the day. Hora de cuentos bilingüe (espanol/ingles). Gratis! Los sábado a las dos de la tarde, el 12 y 26 de Julio. Dos veces por mes, Kidzu se presentan un hora de cuentas, en español e inglés para los años de niños 2 a 8 con un adulto. Weekly Programs List:
Tuesday-Friday: Make & Take Crafts 11am-12 pm and 2-3pm: Join us each week as we make fun and easy crafts that you can take home and share with others. Themed craft changes each Tuesday.
Every Tuesday: Toddler Tunes (ages 0-3) 10:30am-10:50am: Catchy songs, silly stories, and family instrument free play each week with a fun theme. See our programs calendar above for weekly theme.
Every Friday: Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) 10:30am-11am Come listen to great interactive stories with a fun weekly theme. See our programs calendar above for weekly theme.
Twice a Month on Saturday: Free Spanish/English Storytime 2pm-2:30pm (July 12 & 26) These audience participation storytimes are filled with entertaining bilingual stories that will help kids learn new words each week. Program is free; no museum entry fee is required to attend. Simple themed craft to follow program.
