February Special Events:    

SIGN UP NOW! Wednesday, Feb. 10, 3:30-5:00pm:  PLAY MAKING with PlayMakers Repertory Company. This Kidzu and PlayMakers partnership dramatic art workshop is sure to be a hit!! Set against the backdrop of the Arthur Miller's All My Sons set, children will warm-up and perform with one of PlayMakers very own company members. This workshop will bring out the performer in all of us. Event to take place at PlayMakers Theatre. Fee: $15 per child (ages 4-8). Register by calling Kidzu at 933-1455.


Thursday, Feb. 11 at 10:15am: Preschool Painting: Art with Evan The Love of Art/Painting Portraits Together is the theme this time. Space is limited and prepaid registration is required. Fee: $6 per child (ages 2-7). Register by calling Kidzu at 933-1455.

Friday, Feb. 12 from 5:30-7pm: Member's Only Event: Musical Pajama Party. Mix and mingle with fellow members and friends at Kidzu after-hours. Current members have an exclusive opportunity to play, learn and do art in the museum. Special Guest: Rebecca Dyck, Chapel Hill's Kindermusik Educator, will have everyone dancing, singing, and moving along as she plays on her guitar. Feel free to wear your pajamas! Not a current member: if you renew or buy a membership by Feb. 12th you too can enjoy this special event.  RSVP by email to brown@kidzuchildrensmuseum.org

Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 10:30am: Storytime at Kidzu with Southern Village Pediatric Dentistry The Join us for a fun filled story time! February is National Children's Dental Health Month, making it a perfect time to help your child start good habits by learning how to properly care for their teeth. Don't miss this interactive, educational, and fun experience. Free with admission and for members. No registration required. 


Ongoing Activities:

GET MESSY!! Express Yourself! Every Saturday: Children can experience the joy of making and experiencing all types of art. Express Yourself! classes will be held every Saturday 10:30-11:15 am and 11:30am-12:15pm. Classes $2.00 per child (3-8 years old). Space is limited, so sign-up now. Don't miss all the great projects. See PDF above for information about specific classes (like string or marble painting).  

Learn some Spanish/English at Kidzu!  Free Bilingual (Spanish/English) Storytime. Join us Sunday, Feb. 21st at 1:30pm. Once a month Kidzu will host a free bilingual storytime filled with interactive and educational activities games & stories and a fun craft project too. Presented in Spanish and English for children ages 2 to 8 with an adult. First-time museum visitors that attend this program will receive free admission to the museum for the rest of the day. Hora de cuentos bilingüe (espanol/ingles). Gratis!  el 21 de febrero. Kidzu se presentan un hora de cuentas, en español e inglés para los años de niños 2 a 8 con un adulto.
