Staff Positions
Executive Director: We are seeking an experienced Executive Director responsible for strategic planning for our new museum facility, capital campaign fundraising, marketing and organizational development and leadership. Applicants must have experience leading a multi-million dollar capital campaign. Candidates must also have a bachelor’s degree with master’s degree in relevant field preferred; five years minimum experience of executive level leadership. Museum Manager: We are seeking a Museum Manager (25-30 hours/week) that would be responsible for overseeing the museum operations on all weekends, during special programs and after-hours birthday parties. The museum manager is also responsible for planning and executing collaborative programs that are held throughout the month. The best candidate will have proven experience supervising staff and volunteers, working with children and families in a formal or informal setting, a commitment to excellent customer service, strong computer literacy, and experience with program development and facilitation. Are you interested in gaining experience working behind the scenes with our museum management staff? Do you want to learn what happens behind the scenes at a nonprofit? We are looking for students to help our Exhibits, Fund-raising, Communications and Programs Departments. There is something for everyone at Kidzu. We’ll work with you to find a position that fits your interests.

Work-Study Students
Do you go to UNC and have work-study as part of your financial aid package? Want to work at a local nonprofit and make a difference in your community? Kidzu Children’s Museum has plenty of positions for you. We have work-study students greet visitors at the front desk and work behind the scenes with our stuff to maintain our social media, help design and create exhibits, support our fund-raising efforts, create our collateral and keep up our communications.
