for Grades PreK – 2rd Grade

PreK - K:

Sink or Float   EHands-on activities based around the question, "Does it sink or float?" Children will learn about density and what it means when something sinks or floats. Activities include testing the density of various objects in a tub of water and designing a boat out of aluminum foil.

Sense-ibilities – Explore the five senses as we find adventure at every sight, sniff, sound, and texture. Learn how our senses can keep us safe and help us understand our world.

K - 2nd

Mini-Makers – Makers are inventors, tinkerers and scientists! Discover your inner maker through planning, designing, and creating your very own bridge. We will test the creations at the end of the lesson to see which bridges are the strongest, longest, highest, and most effective.

1st - 2nd

Forces & Motion – Students will explore force and motion while experimenting with wind. We'll make a pinwheel, race objects using drinking straws, and select and experiment with different objects in the Kidzu portable wind tunnel.

Healthy Bodies = Happy Bodies – Explore how healthy habits keep our bodies happy and moving! Explore the benefits of fruits and vegetables in a relay race. Jump and move with guided physical activities that get our heartbeats going!
