Group Visits

Kidzu Children's Museum is a great place for your next field trip or group outing!

Organized groups (e.g., schools, child care centers, parent groups, church groups, etc.) with 8 or more children are eligible for special group discounts.

General Info

For organized groups of 8 children or more, we request that you make a reservation in advance to ensure that we have adequate space and staffing to accommodate your group. Organized groups without reservations are welcome, but are not eligible for group discounts and will be accommodated as space permits.

• We require 1 chaperone (aged 16 years or older) for every 4-5 children.
• If your museum trip is cancelled due to the official closing of schools, we will make every effort to reschedule your trip for another time.
• Teachers or group leaders are responsible for confirming the number of children one week in advance of the visit.
• Please make every effort to arrive promptly for your group visit.
• Kidzu Children's Museum can accommodate a maximum of 30 children per group visit. Groups wiith more than 15 children must schedule a exclusive field trip when the museum is closed to the public.

Group rates (for scheduled visits):

• Schools and other organized groups (e.g., child care centers, parent groups, church groups) with 8 or more children are eligible for discounted rates of $4.00 per person. We require one teacher or chaperone for every 4-5 children.
• A $30 non-refundable deposit is required with each reservation. This deposit will be credited toward the total admission fees due.
• Memberships are not valid with group reservations. If a member visits with a pre-registered group, he or she must pay the group rate.

When to schedule

Groups with more than 15 children MUST be scheduled on a Monday for exclusive use of the museum facilities day.

• Monday anytime 10am-3:00pm.  
• Exceptions may apply for late afternoon visits when local schools are in session.

Groups with fewer than 15 children can schedule a visit anytime during our open hours.

Free Field Trips

If your organization is funded by Smart Start or More at Four, or if you serve mostly low income families, you may be eligible for a free field trip visit to our museum. For more information call (919) 933-1455 and ask for Tina Clossick.
