Free Teacher Workshop

October 10, 2016 @ 4:15 pm - 6:15 pm

Free
Build your own smartphone microscope with a UNC scientist!
This grant, funded in part by the National Science Foundation, is designed for public school teachers.
UNC Biology Professor Bob Goldstein will lead teachers through a simple DIY workshop to build a high quality, low cost smartphone/iPad digital microscope. Participants will take the microscopes back to the classrooms and use them to show microscopic views of insects, cells, matter or whatever your classroom scientists desire! The workshop serves teachers in our local schools and educators throughout our community, provides opportunity for professional development, as well as encourages idea and resource exchange. Pre-registration is required. Email Deanna Patrick at patrick@kidzuchildrensmuseum.org to secure your space.
