Robo Rave

April 11 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Kidzu and the NC School of Science and Mathematics have teamed up to create a brand new A.I. Exhibit at Kidzu! Be among the first to see what we have in store at this Science Festival sponsored preview.

It’s a Robo-Rave! In celebration of National Robotics Week, join our Robot Prototype Session. Explore and play with a variety of robots, test just how intelligent they are and then take a stab at building your own bot. Provide valuable feedback as we work to permanently add this exhibit to the museum and then end the day with a Robo-Rave hosted by DJ Sparkles AKA Jammin’ Baby’s Erica Berry! Use Makery materials to make a robot costume and dance the afternoon away.

There are TWO ways to participate in the Robo-Rave:

  1. Join us virtually on April 11th at 2:00pm via Facebook or YouTube! The full program will be aired on Kidzu’s Facebook page as well as on Kidzu’s YouTube channel, and the NC School of Science and Mathematics YouTube channel. This event is FREE!

  2. Stop by Kidzu for in-person, hands-on fun! We will be celebrating our Robo-Rave in-person on Sunday, April 11th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. All activities will take place in Kidzu’s Outdoor Learning Garden at 201 S. Estes Drive, Chapel Hill, NC, 27514. In-person participants will receive a special light to add to their robot costumes while supplies last. Space is limited to 40 individuals in the garden at once. If we are at capacity when you arrive, you will be asked to wait and enter once space opens up. This event will be held weather-permitting and as COVID-restrictions allow. Kidzu reserves the right to cancel the activities at any time. This event is FREE to attend!
