Each week features a different core ingredient(s) and exciting but simple recipes for you to be able to recreate together at home.
May 7th: We know that we plant seeds to grow flowers and vegetables but did you know that we eat lots of seeds too? Today we’ll discover some seeds hiding in plain sight. We’ll make a kale salad with sesame seeds and use chia, poppy and flax seeds in some interesting ways!
May 14th: It’s a Bloomfest out there! Flowers and Herbs are blooming everywhere. We know that herbs make our food taste delicious but did you know that we eat flowers too? Today we’ll try one edible flower, broccoli, and use some mint and dill in some scrumptious springtime recipes!
May 21st: Flowers bring bees and bees make Honey! We’re so grateful for these amazing pollinators and the sweet honey we get from them. Humans have been harvesting and using honey for thousands of years. In this class we will make some yummy honey butter, yogurt honey dip for fruit and have a honey tasting!
May 28th: We’re getting creative with all the bounty our Farmer’s Market has to offer. Today we’ll design a salad landscape on our plates using only edible ingredients. Trees made from broccoli? Potato rocks? A pond of herby salad dressing? Who knows what we’ll come up with! No matter what we create we know it will be healthy and tasty!
