Kidzu is located at 123-B West Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27516. Some GPS programs still have our old location. We are located one block from the intersection of South Columbia and West Franklin Street in University Square. Our space is on the backside of the University Square shopping center. Please park only in non-permit spaces.
Directions
From I-40 & US I5-501 (heading South)
Take I-40 toward Chapel Hill. Take the US-15/US-501 exit, exit 270. Turn south onto US-15/US-501 (from the east, turn left; from the west, turn right). Continue 1.4 miles. When the road forks, continue right onto Franklin St and continue another 3 miles. After crossing over S. Columbia Street, University Square will be about ¼ mile on the left. Kidzu is located on the back side of the shopping center.
From US-15/US-501 (heading North)
Take US-15/US-501 toward Chapel Hill. US-15/US-501 will branch off the Hwy 54 interchange, do not exit but continue North on S. Columbia Street/Hwy 86. Continue on Columbia Street for 1.5 miles, passing UNC Hospitals and the UNC Campus, and take a left on to Franklin Street. University Square will be about ¼ mile on the left. Kidzu is located on the back side of the shopping center.
Parking
Onsite parking is available. Please park in only non-permit spaces. Visitors should keep in mind that parking is only allowed for visitors using University Square. If you wish to visit other establishments downtown you will need to move your car to a public Town lot (more information below).
Offsite Parking
On-street parking in the downtown area is $1.25 per hour at all 2 & 4 Hr Meters/Pay Stations. Parking Meters/Apy Stations are in operation Monday through Saturday, 8:00am to 6:00pm except Town Holidays. *Parking is free on Sundays.
Public parking lots are 65 cents for every half hour. 3 parking lots and garages are located 1-3 blocks from Kidzu on Rosemary St. To reach these from Kidzu, turn left onto S. Columbia St. and then take the first right onto Rosemary Street.
